Poetry meets Artificial Intelligence
A very short piece on AI and poetry. You may look at the article and wonder what exactly is he talking about. This image was generated through machine learning and artificial intelligence. In rudimentary terms many think a computer was programmed to draw this image from another image but is not the case. This is actually a representation of a verse of my poetry which you can see below. The results are quite fascinating as it brings to life poetry though a different medium. “To life! Jostling. Excited. Sailing on the mini boats. Rich moss companions. One hundred feet high. Tickling puffs of cloud droplets. Yellow and bright white. Scintillating…

Conversations with Paul Robeson
During March 8th – 10th, I did a three day run of my show; Conversations with Paul Robeson at the Hen & Chickens Theatre in Highbury and Islington. The feedback was great and I am pleased that my well overdue show finally made it to the stage. Omicron was the last straw for me and the thought of having a handful of people or no people due to the virus crossed my mind but it could not be put off and the best thing was to commit to the dates with the opportunity given to me by the theatre to do the run. Who? For some, especially many of the…

Do all the pieces of the Covid puzzle actually fit?
A serious article? It’s certainly not a poem. It’s been a while since I wrote a serious article. I have been enjoyed sharing the joys of my poetry with newfound kindred spirits who have also been sharing wonderful poetry and inspiring words of inspiration, thoughtfulness and learning. All the while there has still been the backdrop of Covid-19. It has touched so many people and life has changed. Many have died and many have lost loved ones. Jobs, families and way of life for all has changed in some way. I focus on us here in the West and I want to emphasise this. I’ve been extremely busy over the…

Confessions of a lockdownist
Definition: Lockdownist: a person who advocates for the benefits of a real lockdown; It’s easy to misinterpret the notion that Covid-19 gives us anything positive given the death toll, numerous people infected, loss of jobs and havoc it has had on everyday life. It has caused untold pain which cannot be ignored. As we move into a “kind of lockdown” a few days before Christmas in the UK it has upset a lot of people. I’m not enthused by it but I have learnt to look beyond weak leadership and do what I think is best for me, my family…and the society I interact with and live in daily. But…
