Under The Umbrella
A poem: Why?I mean, why the need to know? Some say it’s usThe complicated exploitative speciesApart from regal elephantsWhere memories are deepProtected by the yellow golden vastnessOf adult reed formsThat ask the questionWhy? The million other living speciesOf earth that break the dayThat never ask the question The loss Of this simple wordCan free the burdensThe expanse of which is infinite The search of beautyDissolving bellsWhere the sounds of questionsEcho in the mirrored distance Welcome helpTo the egoic companionThe somewhat hidden alphaFixingWantingHopingSolutioneering all before me A protectorPurpose to fulfilA natural dispositionHave I succeeded? If in the midst of notesWaiting in line hesitatingFor the answer The shouldI couldI wouldIs it a hill before…

But what of the last 80 days since my first post? Firstly, even if it “feels” like it, we will never go back to “normal”. Don’t be fooled by the horrendous traffic, pollution and guzzling folk who have been in the pub for the last five days. You may have even hugged a stranger…but normal will never return….even when it does return. Think about it? When I started out I had no expectations. It was a release of…
